As you can see right behind me [refer to video], this is a picture of your spine. Now as a chiropractor I don’t work with just the spine itself. We’re not about neck pain, or back pain, or headaches. We’re actually about brain and nervous system function.

When you go to a corrective care chiropractor we look at how the brain is communicating with the body and the balance of your natural systems. These systems are responsible for controlling energy to your cells and health and healing throughout your body.

Is Your Neck Stooped Forward?

The biggest issue that I see with most people is that they have a loss of the normal curve in their neck. If you look at your profile, your head should be over your shoulders. You should have a curve in your spine. When you lose that curve, your head puts pressure on your brain stem in your spinal cord. This is what controls the energy of all your cells in the body, oxygen and blood flow to your brain, and the oxygen to the rest of the body.

The further your head goes forward the more stress and pressure there is on your nervous system. So if you look in the mirror and you see your head hunched forward over your shoulders, or you see a friend or family member that’s like that, they likely have energy issues.

  • Constantly tired
  • Not sleeping well
  • Overstressed
  • It just seems like nothing’s working.

The first place you want to check is the spine itself, because when you restore that normal function you take the pressure off the brain stem, the spinal cord, and the nerves. Then the body will heal.

  • You’ll get more oxygen to your cells.
  • You’ll get increased blood flow throughout your body.
  • You’ll get more oxygen to the brain including the pre-frontal cortex which controls cognitive function, energy, and memory.
  • Focus is going to improve.
