Sugar: The Biggest Immune System Killer

  • Common table sugar
  • Breads and grains
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • High fructose corn syrup and fructose itself.

Sugar Stops Your Immune System In Its Tracks

Sugar actually stops your immune system in its tracks. Just a single tablespoon of sugar shuts down your immune system for up to 4 hours.

So, think about that. That small snack or fruity drink that you give to your kids after dinner or to take to school is actually slowing down and degenerating their immune system if its got sugar in it.

That’s why you get sick. You don’t get sick from germs. You get sick because your immune system isn’t strong enough to fight off the infection that’s going on and that’s not normal.

So, what you want to do is remove interferences like sugar. To do that, make sure you’re looking at the ingredients of your food. You’re looking for:

  • Sugars, anything that ends with an -ose.
  • Anything that says sugar whether that’s organic or not
  • High fructose corn syrups
  • All types of corn syrups
  • Things like aspartame, sucralose, and other dangerous sugar alternatives which actually can be worse sometimes for the body.

Then, pay attention to the foods that you’re eating like breads and grains. A lot of times, the sugar content in that is also really high.

  • Replace breads with lettuces
  • Replace white rice with brown rice or quinoa
  • Get rid of some of those processed sugary foods you like, especially if it comes in a box. A lot of times, there’s a lot of hidden sugars in there, too.
